What we collect, why we need it, how long it stays, and how to have it removed. No dark patterns, no data resale.
1. Who we are
Hotel Lobby Maker (hotellobbymaker.org) is an independent AI video editor. For privacy questions, write to support@hotellobbymaker.org.
2. What we collect
- Account data — email address, display name, hashed password or OAuth identifier, and session records.
- Photos you upload — the two reference images for a render, stored privately against your account.
- Generated videos — the MP4 result, its rendering metadata, the selected track and export quality.
- Credits and payments — credit balance, ledger entries and order records. Card data is handled by the payment processor and never reaches our servers.
- Technical data — IP address, user agent, and security logs used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
3. Why we process it
To create your account, run the render you requested, charge the correct credits, deliver your download link, prevent misuse, and meet accounting obligations. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your photos to train models.
4. Photo and video retention
Uploaded photos are kept in private storage for as long as your account is active, up to a maximum of 30 days, and are used only for renders you start. Finished videos remain downloadable for 30 days from completion, after which the file is removed. You can delete a video from its result card immediately. Deleting your account removes your uploads and videos.
Failed or blocked renders return the reserved credits. Provider-side copies of submitted inputs may persist briefly in the video provider’s own systems under their retention policy.
5. Who processes data for us
- Video generation — Replicate and the selected model provider (Kling or ByteDance), which receive the two reference images and the track prompt for the requested render.
- Storage — private object storage for uploads and finished videos, served through signed links.
- Payments — the processor selected at checkout (Stripe, Creem or PayPal). Their privacy policy applies to payment data.
- Email — transactional email delivery for account and receipt messages.
6. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and, when enabled, a consent cookie to remember your analytics choice. Analytics is optional and only loads after consent. There are no advertising cookies on this site.
7. Your rights
You can request access, correction, export or deletion of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days. Deleting your account removes uploads and videos; payment records are retained only as long as tax law requires.
8. Security
Uploads and videos are stored privately and served through short-lived, account-scoped links. Access to production systems is restricted and logged. No system is perfect: if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately and change your password.
9. Children
The service is not for anyone under 18. Uploading images of minors is prohibited and results in account termination.
10. Changes
Material changes are announced on this page with a new update date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised policy.
